Bored? Write your obituary

Current mood: determined
....so I'm currently taking Journalism 101. One of the first assignments that the professor has us doing is writing our own obituary (dated to be 10 years into the future). It's not something to sound morbid or freakish but something to determine what kind of people we are. He wanted us to have fun with the assignment.
...so I just finished writing my obituary. While writing, I discovered more and more things about myself. The kinds of things I want to be remembered for, the things I want to accomplish in my life, etc. etc.
...I would blog my current obituary; however, it gets a bit personel (for somebody who's not 'dead' yet). If any of you are interested let me know and I'll email you a copy.
...with that being said, if you're bored perhaps you should write your obituary- you'll discover a thing or two about yourself.

Take care folks!!

Check the site for SEX OFFENDERS

Hi there, So I checked out the Megan's Law website for sex offenders and man(!), would you be surprised how many people are there within a 2 mile radius?!? It's actually pretty scaring & interesting all at the same time. Within 2 miles, there are 8 sex offenders by me. Within 1 mile, there are 5. There is 1 sex offender within 1/10 of a mile!!!!
As you know I live in Fullerton which I consider a pretty safe neighborhood- I hope this will alert you to be cautious. Check the following website out.
http://www.meganslaw.ca.gov
See how many sex offenders are present within your area-- and if you're a guy that isn't fearful, please be fearful for your women (including mothers, sisters, nieces, friends, girlfriends, etc.)
Let's be watchout for each other!

God Bless,
Michelle

First Blog/Thoughts/Prayer of 2006

Current mood: chipper

January 1, 2006
Thank You for life and the joy of living, for health and strength, and for these blessings fresh from Your hand of love. Amen

Thank You Lord for all my blessings, those that I can see and those that I cannot see.... and those other blessings that sometimes I simply forget due to the rapidity of life. I hope this new year will bring me continued wisdom, knowledge, and the positive growth for developing opportunities...spiritually, mentally, physically, & emotionally. I hope I'll find my fine equilibrium.

God Bless to you, your family, and friends. Try not to forget the people in Your life that mean the most, especially the ones that sometimes we take for granted.

May God grant us ALL serenity, peace, & prosperity for the coming of this new year.
Happy 2006!

Truly Yours,
